JYOTI – BIOGRAPHY

Jyoti is a London-based singer/songwriter of Indian origin. Her music is a fusion of R’n’B/HipHop and Modern Indian music. She has achieved a degree in Music Industry Management and Music Technology at the University of East London. Jyoti is influenced by mainstream artists such as Whitney Houston, Rihanna & Sunidhi Chauhan. Having being brought up listening to Indian and Western music, Jyoti tries to fuse together both sounds in her music.

Jyoti also has a developed passion for Dance & Performance, taking classical dance classes from the early age of 3. She continued to develop her Dance skills at Honey’s Dance Academy and took part in various Dance Productions. In 2005, Jyoti joined Stage Coach Performing Arts Academy and was later awarded with a B-Tech National Diploma in Performing Arts at her college. In 2006, she took part in a Musical called ‘Carousel’ at Quester’s Theatre.

Jyoti began singing in front of a live audience at the age of 10 and her passion for singing has always been her primary focus. She recorded her first song called ‘Dance Club’ in 2007 at Resident Studio’s and later worked with producers at Play Studio’s. After completing a vocal course at Point Blank Music College and recording with producer ‘Benjamin Akhaze’ she began taking an interest in Music Production and has now setup her own home studio. Her latest tracks are ‘I Love’ and ‘Meri Jaan’. She has released her debut Music Video for the song ‘I Love’ directed by ‘Raj Rajilal’ and is now working on her second Music video titled ‘Your Desi Girl’.

Jyoti hopes to bring a new flavour into the Music Industry fusing together Western and Eastern Music.
